Is the takeoff done by software or by a person?
Both. The AI reads the drawings, sorts the sheets by unit type, and drafts the count, which is how it comes back the same day instead of in days. Every number is then professionally reviewed, and anything the drawings imply but don't call out is added. Nothing is delivered without that review.
How accurate is it?
Every count is checked line by line against the drawings before delivery. The AI makes it fast; the review makes it something you can bid on. Every quantity in the workbook references the sheet it came from, so you can verify any line yourself.
What file types do you accept?
PDF, DWG, and DXF, or a ZIP containing them. Up to 50 MB per file and 250 MB per day. Full architectural sets are fine; we will pull the kitchen plans, elevations, and schedules we need.
What if the drawings are incomplete?
We take off what is shown, flag what is missing or conflicting, and tell you what assumptions were made. You get a list of open questions you can send as RFIs.
What drawing stage do you work from?
Schematic, design development, construction documents, or bid sets. Earlier-stage drawings get a takeoff with clearly stated assumptions; bid sets get a takeoff you can price directly.
Do you handle revisions?
Yes. Upload the revised set and we update the takeoff and mark what changed.
Are my drawings kept confidential?
Yes. Drawings are stored privately, never shared with anyone outside the project, and deleted from our storage 30 days after your takeoff is delivered.
